Dual Factor Credibility Framework
SustainCERT developed the Dual Factor Credibility Framework to overcome challenges to Scope 3 accounting and reporting. The framework allows companies to 1) verify mitigation outcomes and 2) unitize, transfer, credibly claim and report emission reductions in a Scope 3 inventory.
SCOPE 3 RESEARCH REPORT
This research explores the landscape of Scope 3 emissions reporting and reductions projects across 500 large organizations in the US and Europe.
DESIGNING A BALANCED DECARBONIZATION STRATEGY
General Mills collaborated with SustainCERT to assess the degree to which interventions and investments enable validated and verified GHG mitigation outcomes, and the associated opportunity for co-claiming with value chain partners.
ALLOCATING GREENHOUSE GAS MITIGATION OUTCOMES
Soil Capital and Cargill collaborated with SustainCERT to propose solutions for allocating greenhouse gas mitigation outcomes in complex agricultural value chains while maintaining credibility.
PRINCIPLES FOR BEST-PRACTICE DIGITAL VERIFICATION
Technology transforms the verification process, reducing costs, time, and complexity, while increasing the quality of output. This White Paper looks at the implications of digitalization for the verification of GHG emission reductions or removals, presenting two promising blueprints for digital verification approaches.
DIGITAL MEASUREMENT, REPORTING, VERIFICATION
Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) of climate change mitigation activities is an essential part of the project cycle in all relevant carbon standards and is crucial to ensuring the accuracy and credibility of carbon credits...
HITTING THE RIGHT TARGET
General Mills collaborated with SustainCERT to assess the implications of its ambition and review the ability of the “monitoring, reporting and verification” (MRV) toolset proposed to meet its objectives.
