Catalin is one of the architects behind the complete rebuild of our Platform back in 2021 and manages the team that handles everything data and software engineering for the development and integration of Digital-MRV.
Over the last 6 years, Catalin was actively involved in software architecture and management. Add to that more than 20 years of experience in software development and engineering and you see why having him on the team is an asset when you are working to develop the first software verification platform for carbon markets and Scope 3 reporting.
Patient, a key trait when you are developing software, and curious by nature, Catalin cannot stay away from technology even outside working hours. In the last couple of years, he started to scratch the surface of electronics building small robots and investigating movement and environment sensing via lidar and/or vision.
Let’s get to know him better with his own words.
I truly believe this would help to convince everyone, even the sceptics, that this is one of the very few options that we have to protect and live in a healthy and diverse natural environment.
I have lived and worked in 3 countries in the last 20+ years and have met many interesting people in unique situations.
Picnic in nature, (almost) regardless of the weather. We try at least once a month to go to the mountains or on the course of a river and spend the entire day there. It’s a lot of walking, eating, and nature discovery; my daughters have a microscope and they bring home different leaves, herbs, etc… and “pretend” to understand what happened in the micro-universe.
